Julie Ericson, MD, FACOG
Julie A. Ericson, MD is a board-certified OB/GYN who has been caring for patients at the Women’s Group of Northwestern since 1995. She is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care to women at every stage of life. Her approach is collaborative and thoughtful: “I enjoy working together with my patients to discuss all of their medical options, answer all of their questions, and help them achieve their health care goals.”
Dr. Ericson offers a full range of women’s health services, with special interests in:
Hysteroscopy (a minimally invasive procedure to examine the uterus)
Contraception counseling, including IUDs and implants
Abnormal Pap smear evaluation and management
Preconception counseling
Menopausal health and hormone management
She is also actively involved in medical education as a Clinical Instructor at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She has been recognized as one of the top teachers of the year for her work with medical students and residents, and she enjoys mentoring future physicians. In addition to her work with Northwestern students, she has also mentored students from both Cornell University and the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Ericson earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Lutheran General Hospital.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, theater and spending time with family and friends.
